Broken Orange Pekoe (BOP) is made by crushing the tea leaves to give smaller leaf segments which infuse well to produce a stronger flavour and aroma than larger leaf grades. BOP brings out the superb qualities, brightness and characteristic astringency of tea leaves picked at the height of the Uva season.
Orange Pekoe (OP), often considered the finest of tea grades, is long wiry leaves of uniform size with some tips of the tea bush. The large leaf size gives a light and subtle taste and aroma.
